Election season is in full swing — corflutes on every corner, headline grabs aplenty, and candidates popping up at every turn. But while the campaign trail winds its way across Tasmania, Northern businesses are focused on what matters: creating jobs, making decisions, growing the economy, and supporting one another. It’s what our region does best — and what the Chamber is here to champion. For 175 years, the Launceston Chamber of Commerce has brought businesses together to collaborate, advocate, and lead. That legacy continues — thanks to the strength of our members.

• The first agriCULTURED event for 2025 launched last night at St Lukes with a zero-waste cooking demo by Sweet Brew, showcasing local food systems and sustainability.

 YONEX U15/U19 Australian National Badminton Championships – 14–20 July

• Part of the Cool Season Strategy led by Visit Northern Tasmania, Launceston will host the 2025 national championships at Elphin Sports Centre — welcoming interstate athletes, coaches, and officials, and showcasing our region’s ability to host major sporting events in the cool season.

It’s on, Tassie! Catch Hawthorn take on North Melbourne in the community round this Saturday — supporting the Clifford Craig Foundation’s local Medical Research Appeal. Local footy match kicks off at 4:15pm.
