Inspired by the Launceston Chamber of Commerce’s vision for Launceston to become one of the great regional cities of the world, the Great Regional City Challenge (GRCC) was born. 50 projects were submitted and the region’s community voted to select the ones they felt have the best chance of making this region great.
Join us at Country Club Tasmania, which is one of the 27 inaugural GRCC donor partners, to hear and view a video of what has been achieved in the last year by those first 12 projects.
Projects focused on the problems and opportunities in our river systems, building a more active region and on making this a more beautiful and healthy community.
Newly inducted Launceston Chamber of Commerce Hall of Fame recipient Owen Tilbury, who is President of the GRCC Incorporated, which is now a registered charity and not for profit with deductible gift recipient status, will tell about the future plans for The Great Regional City Challenge (GRCC), including the next call for projects opening in July 2021 and plans stretching out to 2030.
Your ticket includes drinks and canapes, kindly supplied by Country Club Tasmania. All proceeds from ticket sales go towards funding for the next round of Great Regional City Challenge projects.
Let’s make this one of the great regional cities of the world!
