This afternoon the Board of the Launceston Chamber of Commerce elected the Officers of the Chamber for 2025/2026. This follows the election of Board directors by members in October.
Alina Bain, Chief Executive Officer and Returning Officer said “The officers of the Launceston Chamber of Commerce Board for 2025/26 are:

Alicia Perry, President – Alicia was elected to the Board in 2022 and re-elected in 2025. Representing small business member, Casalinga Gourmet Meats, Alicia is aware of the real challenges and need for collaboration when operating to succeed here in Launceston.

Bianca Welsh, Vice President – Bianca Welsh has been a member of the Chamber Board since 2016. As a passionate advocate for mental health awareness and inclusive employment—and co-owner of two of Launceston’s leading hospitality venues—Bianca brings deep experience, insight, and a strong voice for small business and workforce wellbeing.

Royce Aldred, Vice President – An experienced manager and strategic thinker who can lead and motivate teams towards achieving organisational objective, Royce has been a member of the Chamber Board since 2023. Currently Senior Environmental Consultant with CBM Sustainability, Royce has significant board experience and has a passion for improving and maintaining Launceston’s built and natural assets.

Hans van Pelt, Treasurer – Hans was re-elected to the Board in 2023. Hans has local passion, along with experience successful leading businesses in volatile markets. He has extensive experience within aviation, government and with Board and Leadership teams in local and multinational companies.”
