Thank you to everyone who joined us at the 2025 State Budget Lunch in Launceston.
With the Premier and Treasurer outlining the Tasmanian Government’s plans for the year ahead, it was a valuable opportunity to reflect on the role of business in building a stronger, more resilient Northern Tasmania.
In her remarks, Chamber CEO Alina Bain acknowledged the Budget’s commitments to the North—particularly investments in healthcare and infrastructure—and set out the Chamber’s clear call to action: to shift the conversation from studies to shovels. From vision to execution.
Our focus remains on:
- Reforming freight to reduce costs and support competitiveness
- Delivering conferencing infrastructure to grow demand and diversify the visitor economy
- Investing in digital connectivity as core economic infrastructure
- Backing the liveability factors that attract and retain talent
