The Launceston Chamber of Commerce has today congratulated St Lukes on the official
opening of their new building. They also congratulated a new tenant for the building in Bank
of Us.
“St Lukes and Bank of Us are both valued members of the Launceston Chamber of
Commerce, and we are delighted to see their growth and ongoing commitment to
innovation, sustainability in Launceston and the region.” said Alina Bain CEO Launceston
Chamber of Commerce.
Ms Bain said, “the official opening of the St Lukes building is a fabulous milestone for St
Lukes and is a demonstration of the power of vision and planning and cooperation between
the private and public sector.”
“The new St Lukes building reflects a strong community spirit in Launceston in its beautifully
designed and functional space which is available for community and business groups to
gather and do their amazing work.
“The building’s location provides a connection between the new University of Tasmania
building, the Shed, through to Cameron St and onto the business, theatre, restaurant and
retail areas of our wonderful city.
Commenting on the newest tenant in Bank of Us, Alina Bain said “Bank of Us has
experienced considerable growth requiring new premises. Their commitment to Launceston
and Tasmania is clearly reflected in this move to the St Lukes building. We are delighted to
see two of our members coming together in this way. And we are excited to see the St Lukes
building, all their tenants and the community continuing to thrive in this new space in
Launceston.”
