Women on Boards (WOB) is an independent, values based, and action-oriented organisation founded in Australia in 2006 by Claire Braund OAM and Ruth Medd, and in the UK in 2012. Its vision has been to foster gender balance, inclusion and cultural diversity within board and leadership roles to achieve a minimum of 40% female representation.
Women on Boards has a history of providing highly practical support to enable women to leverage their professional skills and experience into leadership and non-executive-director roles. To this end, it has become a recognised leader in the global network of organisations promoting and supporting women to achieve decision making roles.
