Membership Categories

Our range of Membership packages has been created to connect you to the resources and people you need to be successful. There are three packages and optional upgrades to choose from – all aimed at various stages of business.

MEMBERSHIP

Business Membership

Business Membership is open to Businesses of all kinds and fees are based on employee count at time of joining. Benefits include:

Special access to activities, member functions, briefings and educational services.
Discounted membership rates to VIP networking functions and events.
Regular communication on what is happening within the region, including advice on education and self development opportunities.
Free listing on the Chamber’s online Member Directory.
Opportunities to network at Member Functions – many free of charge to Chamber Members.
Use of Launceston Chamber of Commerce Boardroom at a heavily discounted rate (Must relate to your business or charity of choice.)
Ability to email the Chamber database at a discounted fee at management discretion as to timing & scheduling.
Voting rights and the opportunity to nominate for a place on the Chamber Board.
Access to Free IR Support (Via TCCI affiliation)

StartUp Membership

Startup Membership is open to Startups & Scale-Ups who are in the early stages of their business. It offers most of the same benefits as as Business membership at a less expensive fee. In order to qualify for a startup membership, the applicant must:

Have an ABN
Employ no more than 5 employees / contactors either here or overseas.
Have been in business for no more than 3 years
Must be willing to partcipate in Membership mentoring
Startup membership has a time-limitation of 2 consecutive years from initial joining, after which membership will lapse unless the organisation then joins under a Business membership package.

Community Membership

Community Membership is open to Community Groups, Schools and For Purpose Organisations. Membership, upon application, is granted at the discretion of the Chamber Board.

Individual Membership

Individual Membership is open to individuals who are not employed by a business, nor own a business. Benefits apply to an individual only, and confer most of the same benefits as other membership types, however:

Individual Members are not able to access the Chamber Member database for distrbution of information or advertising

Please note an owner or operator of a business (eg Sole Trader) is not eligible to be a Personal member.

Additional income received from Platinum & Gold Members helps the Chamber maintain a high level of services and activities whilst keeping fees at a minimum.

Bronze Membership is paid over and above category membership fees. In addition to regular membership benefits, Bronze Members receive:

Bronze Membership is restricted to businesses in our Small Business membership category.

Only 15 Bronze Membership uplifts are available each financial year.

Membership Application Process

Step 1 : Please read and understand the Launceston Chamber of Commerce membership policy
Step 2: Please complete the form below
Step 3: After submission of the form, a Chamber staff member will be in contact within 1 Business day to check your application and issue an invoice. You may also call the Chamber on 03 6331 9364 in Businees hours to expedite your application. Membership fees can be paid by direct deposit, credit card or by instalment.
Step 4: Your paid-in-full membership application will be reviewed by our Board of Directors and you will be notified promptly of the application outcome. If for any reason your application is not successful, your application fee will be refunded, in full; immediatley.
