Launceston Chamber of Commerce employs staff members who implement the priorities of the Members, via the Board.
Mr Neil Grose, Executive Officer
Mr. Neil Grose took on the role of Executive Officer at the Launceston Chamber of Commerce in September 2017.
Neil comes from a small business background with a wealth of experience in communications, media and the arts and holds a Fine Arts & Education Degree.
Growing up in Lilydale, in Northern Tasmania; Neil attended Launceston Church Grammar School prior to completing his degree at the University of Tasmania.
After several years of working in various industries, Neil returned to study, completing a Bachelor of Education before starting his tourism and publishing businesses.
Neil developed the successful Rainbow Lodge guided fishing tourism business in the Tasmanian Central Highlands before furthering his publishing career, which included 2 years based in Melbourne.
A change of pace in 2014 saw Mr Grose appointed as editor of the North Eastern Advertiser in Scottsdale, where he grew both circulation and advertising revenue. In 2016, Neil was appointed Economic Development Manager of Dorset Council. Neil was heavily involved in delivering the very successful and globally recognised Enduro World Series mountain bike event in April this year.
Neil is a passionate believer in a bright and prosperous economic and social future for our magnificent city & region & his primary focus is to ensure the business of the Chamber is well-managed and to ensure that member events and services are delivered to a very high standard.
